Military System Reverse Engineering, Retrofit, and Production Capabilities.
Extending the Life and Capabilities of Military Systems
for over 30 Years.
PHT defense
Our retrofit projects have encompassed systems on Tanks, troop carriers, Light armored Vehicles and Humvee’s, as well as ground based radar and weapons systems. In every case PHT will meet or exceed performance requirements with modern designs that are producible for lower cost than the original. We will willingly engage in small quantity production runs for specialized parts and systems.
PHT Aerospace
Our aerospace and avionics division has long and deep experience in both new system design and retrofit for some of the worlds most demanding aircraft designs. We’ve reinvented actuators, power supplies, radar and lighting systems, and can build to print as well. We work with both Military and Commercial avionics manufacturers.
PHT Naval
PHT Naval division has been responsible for complex problem solving and reverse engineering on Navy ships looking to upgrade or sustain availability of existing systems. Our manufacturing facilities are USA based and handle all aspects of small circuit card assembly, and subsystem build and qualification on land and at sea.
Retrofit / Obsolescence Specialists
PHT creates form, fit and function replacements for your obsolete or single source mil-spec parts and subsystems. Experts in procurement of hard to find sub-components. Competency in military aviation products and more.
Engineering
PHT engineering skills include all facets of creating military electronics and electromechanical assemblies. We can build directly to your print as well as having deep experience with motors, actuators, power supplies and kitting requirements.
Manufacturing
PHT manufacturing facilities are USA based and handle all aspects of small circuit card assembly, and subsystem build and qualification. Additionally we will do small manufacturing runs and we are an approved FAR Clause contractor.

AS 9100D
We are AS 9100D Certified. This certification is for organizations doing business in the aerospace industry such as manufacturers, contractors, and suppliers. New requirements emphasize the prevention of risk and counterfeit parts, providing a structure that enables businesses to adapt to change, planning for obsolescence, and addressing product safety concerns. The requirements in this standard are not alternative to customer/applicable statutory or regulatory requirements. In cases of conflict, the customer/applicable statutory or regulatory requirements will take priority.
Our Company
PHT Defense is an engineering and manufacturing firm capable of designing new parts or parts to specification. We provide help to develop specifications, reverse-engineer and re-design obsolete items, build and test prototypes, and may become your reliable manufacturing source.
We specialize in the design, prototype, and manufacturing of items that are form, fit, and functionally equivalent to the hardware you are currently using. At the same time, if desired, we can sensibly update or refresh for improved reliability, maintainability, and supportability. Our products are designed to meet the original environmental and EMI / EMC requirements, whatever they may be.
